Maison Craquelin was a partner for the 35th edition of the Juris'Cup, held from September 17th to 20th in Marseille. We spent two mornings selling and offering tastings at the official village on Quai Marcel Pagnol, just as the crews were preparing to set sail.

Two mornings on Quai Marcel Pagnol

Each year, the Juris'Cup brings together teams from the legal and judicial worlds in the bay of Marseille for three days of racing from Friday to Sunday. Before each departure, activity centers on the village: coffee on the quay, briefings, loading gear, and final instructions being exchanged.

This is the moment we chose. On Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., our stand was open at the official village at the CNTL. Two hours each morning, before the docks emptied out.Maison Craquelin stand at the Juris'Cup village in Marseille, Provence biscuits

What we offered for tasting

We brought both sides of the house with us.

On the sweet side, our anise and orange blossom navettes and lemon-poppy seed shortbread paired perfectly with morning coffee, along with chocolate and double-chocolate hazelnut cookies for those heading out for the day. On the savoury side, our pétales were mostly bought by the bag, tucked away in sailing gear for later.

Two types of navettes, one house: flour from the Trièves, French butter, no artificial colours or preservatives.

Gift sets for the winners

Our biscuits didn't just stay at the stand. They were also included in the gift sets presented to the winning crews at the awards ceremony. A way to extend the regatta experience back on land.

From La Ciotat to the bay of Marseille

Our biscuits are made in La Ciotat, about thirty kilometers from Quai Marcel Pagnol. Same coastline, same light, same scents. Our biscuit factory was born in a port city, and that reflects in our recipes: anise, orange blossom, almond, olive, and herbs of Provence.

Being at the Juris'Cup felt like being at home. The Mediterranean is not just a backdrop for the brand; it is its starting point.

The biscuit, a perfect shipmate

There is a very simple reason why biscuits belong on board: they are easy to transport, they keep well, and they can be shared without cutlery or plates. Open a bag in the cockpit, and lunch turns into a conversation.

It’s the same on land, whether returning from a trip out at sea or during happy hour.

Thank you

Thank you to the Juris'Cup organizers, the crews, and everyone who stopped by our table over those two mornings.

Our biscuits can be ordered all year round from our shop, in bags, in assortments, or in gift sets.
